Find missing elements in patterns
Missing Pattern questions challenge you to find hidden numerical or logical relationships in matrices, grids, and incomplete sequences.
These questions present grids, matrices, or patterns with one or more missing elements. You must identify the underlying rule (across rows, columns, or diagonals) to find the missing value.
This topic tests deep pattern recognition and appears in both reasoning and quantitative sections of competitive exams.
1.Start with the row/column that has the most numbers
2.If simple operations don't work, try combining two operations
3.Look for squares, cubes, or factorials in the numbers
In exam questions, only one pattern will consistently work across ALL rows/columns. Test your proposed pattern against every available row/column before confirming.
